While at a seminar this weekend, my business partner John Hostler (internetrenegade.com) made a great presentation. Usually at these presentations, you give a pitch once you get done. John didn’t… Instead he pulled Brian McElroy up and told everyone about Brian’s site www.100DollarMarathon.com

Brian spent a year of his life after college working to bring higher education to the rural communities of Haiti…

Knowledge really is power, and I support anyone that tries to better any place in this world.

Brian is trying to raise $10,000 which is incredibly do-able, but he needs our help. If only 100 of us donated $100 Brian would reach his goal. I’ve donated my $100 and encourage you to do the same.

If you can’t manage that amount, then just do what you can!

You can read more about Brian and exactly what he’s doing by going to <a href="http://www.100dollarmarathon.com

The below message is from a wonderful woman I met in Baltimore, MD, and her story has truly touched me. Get yourself some paid avertising where the money you pay in will go to Fanconi Anemia research…

Imagine hearing the words “Your child is dying”. Sadly this brings about the
feeling of absolute terror. It becomes a nightmare which, unfortunately,
does not go away. Somehow you muster the strength to deal with this change
in your life.

All your hope lies in research, that research takes money. Where will the
money come from? It is left up to the families of Fanconi anemia. If we
don’t raise money for FA research, no one else will. However there is a
benefit that goes beyond the money that many never would imagine. That
benefit is realizing that so many wonderful people and businesses out in the
community (beyond family and friends) are empathetic, kind, and generous and
really want to help. They just have to be made aware.

85 percent of all donations to the FA Research Fund are raised by FA
families. We need the efforts of everyone.

In May 1997, my 23 year old son, Clifton, was diagnosed with a terminal
blood disorder, Fanconi Anemia (FA). Clifton succumbed to this disease, Jan
13, 2002.

At the time of his death, he asked me to help prevent others from dying, by
raising funds for research.

Today that is what I have set out to do. Raising money means that the FA
Fund can recruit researchers to study FA, sponsor research, and hold
scientific meetings so that scientists can collaborate and share the results
of their research.

Our Mission:

To find effective treatments and a cure for Fanconi anemia and to provide
education and support services to affected families worldwide.

Won’t you please help! Don’t be like me I woke up one morning to this
“Your child only has 6 months to live”

Donate at verukasalt.com

Thank you
Saundra Jackson

The mission of www.MarketingToHelp.com is to allow me and others to help several different causes, charities, etc. in a small way. Ever since I was a child I always wanted to help where I could. This has continued throughout my whole life, and this is my first step in finally reaching out and helping…

Is what I will be doing here on the MarketingToHelp.com blog is posting different ways that people can do something really small to help a cause or a charity. Be it a donation under $5, sending an email, linking to a site, etc… This will not be a place where I constantly ask for large amounts of money for this or that. All I will be asking is that you take action and do something very small to help where you can…

I will also be REALLY picky about what I post here, so if you email me about something and I don’t post it, please don’t be offended. There are certain things that I will post and I wont post, and the only real criteria is that you ask for something very small for your cause or charity…

If you are a marketer, and are running something for a special cause, please contact me with full details, and I’ll get back with you if I can post here at MarketingToHelp.com

Enjoy what you find here, and most of all take action and always help everywhere you can…
